Testing 1 - 2 - 3
I'm in the progress of converting our tried-and-true news page over to a blog format. The change was prompted by our shopping cart provider's latest update. This new format will make updates easier, allow updates by other staff members, and I will even be able to update from my iPhone. This will be handy the
next time the power goes out for 36 hours. Also, readers will now be able to comment on news updates and share with their friends using Facebook, Twitter, and a short list of 300 other social networking sites.
The extent of social networking possibilities I find a bit excessive, but our shopping cart provider clearly doesn't e-discriminate. It is pretty cool to be able to share an exciting news story with your friends on The Book in one click. News articles announcing new VW parts are way more interesting than yet another long winded expert take on today’s economy.
I've been asked in the past to clue our customers and the VW scene into what we're up to. The truth is that's hard to do. When I’m not buried in paperwork or making phone calls I do some pretty interesting stuff. My staff is typically cranking away on production work, but that’s no excuse. If you’re into VWs and metalworking our daily grind is pretty cool. Look out for weekly, if not more frequent updates from myself and other staff members. I gave myself a little section called “Evan’s Updates” where I’ll post sneak peeks, random humor, and whatever I find interesting to our customers. Although I’m the owner of 42, this section will be quite informal. Did I mention anyone can comment on any article without logging in?
Thanks for reading, commenting, and being genuinely interested in everything 42.
Evan
This is so badass.
