Subtle by design, the Audi TT Quattro stands out by blending in. Underneath the paint, the TT quattro is a serious driving machine with incredible potential. Though powered by the same 1.8T powerplant as a basic mk4 Golf, a modified TT quattro is capable of superior power, traction, and speeds. Without a doubt, the TT requires modifications of a higher caliber. Eager to raise the bar, 42 introduces our Audi TT 3" cat-back exhaust system.
Our 3" cat-back exhaust system for the 180Q and 225 Audi TT picks up where our 3" downpipe leaves off. The combination is an engineered exhaust system that yields maximum power, exquisite sound and tips that complete the performance look.
You may or may not have heard something about these cat-backs in the past year. They have been available for over a year, but haven't been featured on our website. The reason is pretty simple - I build the website and I never got around to it. A lot goes into a cat-back of this caliber and I'm unfortunately so meticulous that nothing get's a release until I can show, describe, and instruct every aspect of it. Somehow dealers and word-of-mouth managed to put a significant number of systems on TTs this year. With the exception of a few new pictures, instructions and the turbo-back pages I'm ready to upload.
Website aside, our new 3" cat-backs for the TT feature some of our best fabrication work and years of development. The muffler combination is just right, the fitment is perfect, and the tips are powerful and glossy. Speaking of power, we're ecstatic about the power gains to be had with this system. Unfortunately our local dyno shop suffered a fire a few years back, so we're unable to do back-to-back dyno testing without a series of road trips. I'm sure a future customer will come to the table with a dyno & free time...

In the next few weeks be on the lookout for a number of TT cat-back related website updates. I'm doing a photoshoot of my TT at
The Car Guy's shop in the next few days to shoot some higher quality tip pictures. I'll be completing the installation instructions for these cat-backs soon. Once my lead fabricator hands me a pair of picture perfect downpipes I'll be shooting new pictures of our updated 180Q and 225 3" downpipes.
